This route climbs from Monadnock State Park Headquarters to points on the south slope of Monadnock. This bald summit of this prominent peak rises above hardwood and coniferous forest in southern New Hampshire. As this is a state park, entrance fees apply and rangers are generally present on weekends and holidays.
